The date for the next Velothon Wales has been set. The third thrilling instalment of this UCI sanctioned, closed road sportive will be on 9th July.
It’s an opportunity for some of you to once again experience the thrill of riding without motor traffic, and for a vocal minority to lose their minds about road closures.
We’re excited to let you know that the date for VELOTHON Wales 2017 has now been confirmed – the race will take place on Sunday 9th July.
This time around there will be two routes:
- the full-fat 140km which includes both the Tumble and Caerphilly Mountain, giving you a total climb of 1826 metres and looks very similar, if not exactly the same as last year;
- a 110km route that misses out the Tumble, weighing in at 940m of climbing.
However, there’s still no sight of the 50km route from the first year.
